"I am not sure if we received VIP. perks but the property, food, staff, and room were awesome. It was like a little oasis in a bustling but laid back area. The restaurant, Gigi’s, was lovely and the staff were so friendly. The food options were flavourful and the entertainment made it extra special. Great staff in reception and housekeeping, too. Beautiful pool area. "

"Great stay, good selection of food for breakfast. Could use more beach chairs at the pool. Like so often people put towels to reserve them and then aren't around for hours later. Frustrating! "

"Staff, setting, and food were all awesome. It was a peaceful, natural hotel. Prepare for rain. It’s a part of the experience, and there were lots of breaks in the rain, even some sun around the pool in the afternoon. The night walk was unforgettable, the little town of Tortuguero so interesting, and the water transport to and from Pavona docks was so mesmerizing and unique. I loved the staff who work at Mawamba! Big shout out to the restaurant staff, chefs, and bar staff. "

"We had great time! The resort was one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed, with a beach view right outside our room. The staff was incredibly friendly and overly helpful. My friend got sick one of the days and they went above and beyond to help her feel better, constantly offering things to help and checking up on her every hour or so.
