"Our family of 4 stayed here comfortably for 4 weeks. We liked being away from the center of town yet super close to the ocean - we practically had the local Playa Negra beach to ourselves. The kitchen was well equipped, loved using the boogie boards, and appreciated the multiple house fans to supplement the AC (in one bedroom). The property manager was always quick to respond whenever we needed anything. Thanks for a wonderful month in Puerto Viejo!"

"I stayed at Samasati from the 3rd through the 12th of August. I stayed at several other properties on Samasati, but the Yucca House is in the most beautiful part of Samasati's property. The best part of this property is that it is a nature retreat. It is a short 4 miles from Puerto Viejo. If you want to have total autonomy, a 4x4 vehicle is necessary because it is a steep gravel road to the top of a secluded jungle mountain. "The lodging and grounds were beautiful and it’s so obvious how much love and time Daniel and Renata have put into their wonderful vacation accommodations. We saw so many birds, Toucan’s, a sloth, agouti’s, and even a caiman in their lagoon. They answered all of our questions, made great arrangements for tours, and made sure we had everything we needed daily! "Unique experience surrounded by a lush garden. The curtains makes a very nice soft light during the day. Obviously in an open space you can't have AC... The heat can be a bit too much sometimes. Just be aware of that."

"My husband and I stayed 5 days at Casa Verde. We had a very relaxing time there. The town is very small and everything is in walking distance. However, if you get a lot at the bigger grocery store, you might want to ask for them to deliver it for you. The beach is very close by. We bought two beach chairs to use while we were there and left them for others to use since there weren’t any. A few things to know: First, this house is very basic, just the essentials, no extras. "We had an amazing stay. This is a gorgeous place for larger groups. Monkeys, sloths, butterflies all visited the property. The beach is a short walk away and the grounds are beautiful!"

"The house is very cute and you can’t beat the view. Step across the street and you are on the beach. My wife was working and (barring some Latin American mas o Minos the internet worked great. There are animals all around the house including an active and lively raccoon that takes a little work to keep your food safe but, for the most part, they have thought of everything. "Quiet, secluded cottage with great yard on the beach. Many good restaurants, shops, groceries nearby. Easy access to other great beaches, a national park and wildlife nature preserve. Liked watching the leaf cutting ants and observing green and blue black spotted little poison dart frogs along with other wildlife in the back yard."

"Highly recommend for your stay near Puerto Viejo! The property team is incredibly kind and communicative. The area is perfect, as it’s about 10 min drive from the main town so a bit quieter but still with things to do. It’s on a side road with a path directly to the beach. They even had beach chairs and towels which came in handy. When we had a small issue with the dryer, they sent someone right away. I honestly wish we had more time in Costa Rica just to relax on the property!"

"We loved our stay at Casa Duna. The location is perfect, walking distance to Playa Chiquita and a short ride or drive to Playa Uya. There is a great breakfast spot just south of the property, an easy walk, and a lovely pizza place tucked in behind it. If you want a more laid-back vibe this is a perfect property for you."

"We spent 5 days in october 24 as a family in the happy house. The location in the dschungel close to the beach is just perfekt. The beach is very quiet and sandy. About the best we saw on the carribean side. The house itself is very nice especially the big terrace facing the nice garden where we saw lot of monkeys. Steve was a very helpfuf host. We would love to come back."
