"My 2nd time staying here. the description of this hotel has the word "upscale". it is not upscale. The lady at the reception (with curly hair) is great, always with a smile and friendly. Breakfast was the same food both times i stayed here. the fried rice was very delicious but the others were just average. the rooms are very old fashioned and dated. broken tiles, stains, toilet not thoroughly scrubbed and shower head that didn't work properly. the liquid soap at the sink smells horrible. i had to use my own soap."

"Very pleased with this hotel, so we came back when we retuened to Almaty. Very clean property. Rooms are beautiful and comfortable, with super clean comfortable bed. Wifi acceptable but could be improved. Front desk was extremely helpful with all needs. In a very nice neighborhood, and is located close to major train station, supermarket, major bus routes into city, and local parks. Will be happy to stay here again in the future."
