"We came into town for the Iowa WBB game and spend the night. We didn't get a chance to check in before the game so we missed out on the happy hour in the evening but it's nice they offer it. We got in late (for our kids anyways) after the game so it was nice that check in was super quick. Our room was ready and great. In the morning we enjoyed the included breakfast before hitting the pool. Indoor/Outdoor pool was great. Hot tub was nice too. We'll stay here the next time we stay in IC."

"We loved our latest stay at the Surety which happened to be Christmas Eve. The restaurant and bar was at full capacity with diners. A definite Christmas oasis as most of the rest of downtown Des Moines was quiet. A testament to food and restaurant that so many would seek it out on Christmas eve. Staff as always were welcoming and friendly."

"Older motel, well kept, clean, bed comfortable. Very accommodating. Only suggestion, if you are older you may want to get a handicapped room. The toilets are quite low. Thank you for the stay."
