"I would like to take the opportunity to thank the breakfast supervisor (christine) i think on the 2nd March 2025,nothing was too much trouble,she was back and forth dealing with my enquiry for my breakfast option,and was very sensitive to my intolerances."

"We were met by a very friendly and helpful receptionist and this set the positive scene that was repeated by all the staff we met for the whole of the visit. The food was excellent along with the service that came with it. The hotel is as expected ie an old building in need of some repair that was full of atmosphere and history. The gardens, inhabited by the beautiful resident peacocks were well maintained and nice to walk around. We were only there for a weekend break but I could visualise how...

"It’s next to the hospital so convenient for those travelling on work related to the hospital. The hotel has very good parking facilities. Unfortunately the kitchen seems to close early so late arrivals have to get something from the local Spar or take away deliveries "

"The room was very spacious and comfortable. The property is old (steeped in history) but the room had all the features we needed. The instructions were excellent and the owners were incredibly responsive and helpful. The bed was a little creaky and the pillows were a little thin/soft for my preferences, but perfectly comfortable and adequate. Great value for money. Great location. Highly recommend the breakfast!! A great stay - would stay again. "

"Great property. Perfect size for 20 adults. Tons of kitchen equipment and a huge range/oven. The lounge is comfy , loads of books and games. Bunks were clean and comfy too. Loads of outdoor space and an extra field/ toilets/ showers to hire for more campers •Bring wood or charcoal for the pizza oven. The wood on site is damp. •The TV doesn't get a signal, so bring a firestick or similar.Wifi is great •Bring extra tea towels or kitchen roll. •Entrance is by key code- make sure you have this...

"Our stay was fabulous. The food is 12/10 We had our dog with us so we had to eat in the bar but it has a roaring fire and a lovely atmosphere and I’d argue this was the best seat in the house. Our room was in a little outbuilding and it was just perfect. Super quiet of a night too. The servers are all very young and the best and most smiley service I’ve had in a long time "
