"This hotel is in an old priory near the summit of the hill with the magnificent Chartres Cathedral. Desk was helpful with parking info, and how to exit the restricted area before dawn, so we didn't have to tackle the steep hill after the snow started."

"The staff was superb. We, having been in France for 3 weeks prior to our arrival had quite a bit of laundry. The staff, took care of this for us at our arrival and we received our clean folded clothes the next day. Nothing beats this location as the rear of the hotel puts you right in the center of a pedestrian street lined on all sides with cafes and restaurants as well as the entry to the Chateau Amboise. "A nice choice!"

"This is the most charming boutique hotel. The location is excellent! The room was spacious enough however I do not care for automatic lights going on in the bathroom. I like to control the lights myself, and not be blinded. The big con is that there is no lift so be prepared to carry your suitcases up the classic narrow staircase. Nice breakfast. Parking is difficult. "

"Overall it was great, the staff was nice and the customer service was excellent. But the kitchen was lacking essential articles, like knives, casserole etc. But besides those little things, it was a great deal. Thank you!"

"A reasonable hotel for a good price. Fine for one night stay while driving to Southern France. The pillow was very small and lumpy, and I was woken a number of times in the night; first at 1am by the person in the room above banging around, and again at 3am by someone in the corridor outside my room talking on the telephone. Staff are very friendly and it's close to some reasonable restaurants. I would stay here again for one night when travelling in France."
