"At first we were a little surprised, but it turned out to be what we needed. Quiet, clean, and the sheets smelled like old fashioned hang dried which was amazing. Wifi was a little weak but we didn’t need it to work, it was nice to unplug for a few days. The recommended Italian restaurant cuckoo in coomes was spectacular was like we were in Italy. Highly recommended"

"We had a wonderful time being hosted by Shannon at the Heather Cottage. Tucked away in a quiet location right on a wetland, it’s a great escape from the day to day. The cottage is cute and cozy, with everything you need for your getaway. We loved the fresh farm eggs, and the ambience. Wildlife awaits each time you look out towards the wetlands, with a variety of birds as well as an orchestra of frogs come dusk. "....is very comfortable, in a great neighborhood for walking, and has great views of a walkable beach. We were lucky with our March stay this year and say the herring fishery out front for two or three days. Very comfortable cabin, well provisioned with all you will need for a short or long stay. Enjoyed the on-demand cable, and just a couple minutes outside of Qualicum Beach."
