"We stayed at the Victoria hotel in Amsterdam for three nights, 3 people in 1 room with a sofa bed. The hotel is very well situated for the Amsterdam Central railway station and is therefore ideal as a base to get to and from the airport by train. The station is also a central hub for Metro and trams to get round Amsterdam and to other parts of the Netherlands. It is also a great location for accessing the centre of Amsterdam with its night life and shopping. We had a first-floor room “overlooking the canal” - it was a little noisy at night as people were walking past but also especially considering this was Kings Day in Amsterdam - and be windows of the room had a net on the outside presumably to stop pigeons but this obscured the view. We had breakfast every day and the hotel had a good selection of continental and hot food. There were busy times at Breakfast, one morning we left the restaurant at about 0730 and there must have been a queue of 20 people waiting for a table. However, this is probably due to tour groups in the hotel and half an hour later or earlier there was no queue. The staff on the front desk were very welcoming and gave us lots of great information when we arrived - very helpful and considering we arrived late at night and the sofa bed had not been made up due to a late upgrade, they were very quick and helpful to come and make the bed. The room itself was clean. The bed was comfortable, bathrooms nice and large, small table and chairs in the room."

"We arrived on King’s Day. Do not ever go to Amsterdam on King’s Day. It is worse than Mardi Gras in US. Filth all over the city. The filth was still there on day 3. "

"VERY compact room but super clean and efficient. Perfect bed, perfectly quiet even right beside the airport. Good rate. Good quock food 24hrs. Will certainly stay again."

"Lovely hotel very friendly staff and helpful the only thing is the hot water tanks for the tea and coffee were not hot enough to make the tea or coffee and needs to be looked at "

"Great free shuttle service. Very clean. Area immediately around the hotel is not very interesting (large office buildings for the airlines), but felt safe. "

"The hotel is close to trams and Amsterdam Zuid station which is convenient to go you destination and Centraal. There is no laundry facility though so the nearest place to do the laundry is at De Pjip station. But overall I would give it a 5 star rating. "
