"The location is superb right on the water. The house is lovely and had everything we needed! We had a slight issue gaining access, but the host was very responsive and helpful, so it was resolved immediately. Would definitely recommend and stay again, our toddler didn't want to leave!"

The kitchen is well equipped and clean. The views of the river and North Sea were beautiful. The house is a short walk to the Main Street where there are many restaurants and pubs. "This is a versatile accommodation for business, pleasure, families. Set in a fantastic location at the bottom of penshaw monument. There are some many places within a short drive. If you don’t want to drive there is lots to do in the immediate surrounding area. A short walk and you are down by the river, where there is a great coffee shop or friendly pub. "The cottage lovely and is just what you need as a home from home. It is very clean and warm. My family enjoyed our time here. The kitchen is well stocked with cutlery and crockery and the dining room especially has beautiful lighting. At the moment the area outside the cottage is anything but restful with major renovations well underway to the railway. "Had a lovely time staying here for a few days. We had a couple of places we had on our bucket list and this was a good base. Didn’t get a chance to see the arch near by by as it was raining. Only advise would be to have a sign where the holiday homes are as we used the postcode and nav took us to road down the road. Thank you for loaning us your pass for the Beamish Living Museum, had a lovely day even though we got a little wet. "
