"On arrival there was a friendly welcome from Nate and although we were early our room was ready. The hotel has a bar and restaurant which operates separately from the hotel, it's called The Deck. It is open most of the day and  looks out over the lake which is really pleasant and good for spotting various birds and small crocodiles.  The restaurant is supposed to be closed on Tuesdays but luckily they were open when we were there. Best to check. The hotel office can help with tours if needed. They arranged the Lamanai boat tour for us which we really enjoyed. We were happy with our room which was huge, with a very big comfortable bed, and it had a balcony. There was plenty of hanging space. The air-conditioning worked well. There was a hairdryer in the room and also a TV. We wanted to watch some TV, maybe see some local channels, as we relaxed in the room in the evening, but we could only get the apps to work, such as Netflix, intermittently. The bathroom had some toiletries and plenty of towels and loo roll, however due to limescale around the taps and shower it meant that the water didn't flow very well. The shower was just a trickle really. Orange Walk Town is around 8km away so you need your own car or a taxi to get in for dinner. We decided to stay in the hotel, and the dinners we had there had plenty of choice, and we really enjoyed everything we ate over the 4 evenings. All staff were really friendly and helpful."

"I absolutely loved this super unique and upscale 5-star boutique resort. They went the extra mile - in all directions at this beautiful property. There are a few bungalo options that are all uniqueand charming. Try the freshly made mango daquari, too. You won't be disappointed at all- as a stay here is truly one of a kind. "James was a very polite and a gracious host. He showed us around the property and gave us some very useful info about were to eat and the things to see around Ladyville. He has equipped the 2 bedroom apartment extremely well. Just basically need your clothes and yourself for a quiet relaxing stay. We felt extremely safe on his property and walking the town. The pool and palapa in the back yard was an added bonus. We wished we could have spent more time back there but we can't control the weather! I would highly recommend his place as it is very close to the airport and any excursions can be handled easily from his place. The views from the large balcony were beautiful as well giving us extra space to sun ourselves. 2 couples have more than enough room! "

"Scott was so awesome. He picked us up from the airport, ordered us food from a restaurant that was technically closed due to a Holiday but opened just for us /Scott, drove us to the beautiful VRBO and then made us fresh mango smoothies in the morning. Beds were so comfortable and everything was great! Michelle was out of town but was punctual with communication and made sure we knew what to expect and where to go. Thx guys!!"
