"This was my favorite part of our trip. There were so many birds and wildlife literally outside the front porch first thing in the mornings. Waking up at about 6:00am proved to be worth it , as the morning fog was mystical with all the jungle sounds. It was absolutely stunning. The food was UNBELIEVABLE, the staff was so kind and caring- the Lamanai boat tour is a once in a life time experience, us and other visitors were raving about it. The people we met were from all over the world, and everyone was having a blast. It’s a short $12.00US Dollar ride to Orange Walk to enjoy the town and the locals. Beyond a good experience. "

"The staff was incredible, best service we had in our time in Belize. From the wait staff to the drivers and guides, top notch! Rooms were nice and very large. And the grounds we're gorgeous with many iguanas feeding and sunbathing during the day. "

"The Gecko Bungalow is really something special! Scott and Michelle are incredible hosts -- when one in our party fell ill, they went above and beyond to make sure he was well cared for and comfortable, and they made sure we had everything we needed during our days there. Their hospitality is genuine, and you can see their passion for connecting with their guests. They make it feel like you're visiting them as friends, and aren't "just a customer" renting a room. The bungalows are super comfy & cozy, and have everything you need during your stay. (Finally, a place with beds and pillows that don't ruin you!) We were lucky enough to get a tour of each room, and you can’t help but appreciate the love and effort that has gone into every detail building this dreamy spot. It was a real treat listing to all the stories Scott has about building the place into a little slice of tropical paradise. Great location! When you're there, you really do feel like you're on your own private resort! But you are just a few minutes by car from the airport, market, restaurants & DiBruwry! We really enjoyed our few days there, and can’t wait to return! 🌴✨"

"Fine but needed directions since doesn’t show accurately on google maps and House did not have house number. Needed instructions for air conditioning and hot water. Property manager was helpful."
