"This is a lovely large Villa which was perfect for us as we were 3 families holidaying together. Plenty of outdoor space and the shared pool (although we were the only ones in it) was well kept and a good size for swimming and diving. It's a 10 min walk down a steep hill to the town. Very manageable, but if you struggle then there are plenty of taxis around for a lift back up (7 Euros). Lovely area - very spanish which was great. Almunicar is a 20 min walk along the beach front. "The first thing we noticed was the stunning view over the sea and mountains, it really is fully 180 degrees. The villa is bigger than it looks on the website with more to see, we stay at different villas 2 or 3 times a year and this is one of the best, very spacious and individually furnished, it is more like staying in a home rather than a rental, even the kitchen knives were sharp not something we normally find. "We just had a fab holiday in Villa Cecilia…Perfect pool, perfect house. The villa is up a mountain with the last three minutes…not for the faint hearted. Really peaceful, as has no phone signal. "The villa was fantastic, clean, spacious and very well equipped. The pool and the views were awesome. Plenty of places to visit locally, and Almunecar was a very nice town. Antonio met us on arrival and showed us around, and explained how everything worked. Excellent welcome pack, the best we have ever had. All in all we had a very enjoyable week. "

"This is a very nice property in a wonderful position. Everything worked as it should and the host was very helpful. The urbanisation is very well kept and the communal pool area is a very nice addition. Whilst the property could do with a little bit of updating here and there, we really have no complaints at all and would recommend it as a great place to stay."

"Wij zijn een week geweest met een paar vrienden en hebben een heel fijn verblijf gehad. Het enige waar je rekening moet houden is dat de grote supermarkten wat verder rijden zijn. Verder was het uitzicht prachtig en de omgeving erg rustgevend. Het verblijf in de villa was top, van alle gemakken voorzien en fijn informeel contact met de eigenaren. "Really enjoyed our stay. You overlook mountains, almost a 360 view, could also see the sea in the distance. At night you have a wonderful view of the the stars. The pool was good not too small.The only down side of the location is that you would find it a tad difficult to drive at night as there are no street lamps and the road up is winding and quite narrow. Apart from that we had a lovely time nice and quite and its only mins drive to the beach!!"

"Very nice apartment unit. Close to everything. Front desk staff super friendly but it was not available for 24 hours which was a bit inconvenient. I booked a non-smoking room but the unit had very strong smoke smell when We first got in. It was obvious that the previous customer smoked! It was terrible, we had to open all the windows for a long time to get rid of the smoke smell. We couldn’t get a different room because we were told that was the last one available. "

"Absolutely loved this hotel. The self check in is confusing at first but you sort it out in the end. Super clean and you get access to other facilities at the Gran Hotel. However the communication was a bit confusing as we didn’t realise what we had access to on the last day there. Staff were so helpful when we left luggage with them. The bathroom is the best! "
