"My wife and I stayed for our anniversary weekend. The property is great. It is small, but it suited us well for our purposes. The view of the small lake and mountainside was wonderful. We woke up one morning to the snow-covered ground and the moon reflecting off the frozen lake—it was beautiful. The property manager was very responsive when we had an issue with there being too much chlorine in the hot tub—they had the issue fixed the same day I raised the issue with them. When we checked out and forgot some clothes that were hanging in the closet, the property manager promptly mailed them back to us which my wife, especially, greatly appreciated. I would definitely stay here again if/when visiting the Cannan Valley."

"This was our second time at this property. This time we took our two boys. They loved it just as much as we did. The location is perfect for hiking during the day. And the house is perfect for enjoying each others' company in the evenings. The host has always been super helpful. My youngest son didnt want to leave and is making plans to return in the future."

"The property is amazing. It is the perfect cabin for a small family. The cabin is surrounded by beautiful hiking trails. The inside was immaculate and stocked with everything we needed for the week. They even include a sofa cover if you are bringing your doggy. Perfect location for activities in Canaan, Davis, Thomas, Spruce Knob….Chip and Laurie respond to messages quickly. Our child became very ill the night before check out and Laurie was understanding and compassionate that we could not complete the check out list. We definitely plan to return. Thank you Chip and Laurie for sharing your slice of Almost Heaven with us. "
