"What a property! Fabulous place to stay at Christmas time. We had a lovely break and enjoyed the local area for walks. The only thing that let it down was the condition of the cooker - it was extremely dirty and really needed a deep clean."

"We’ve just returned from 3 nights at East Lodge. What can I say other than wow! It’s a great little house, quirky and unique, in a really beautiful and remote setting. There’s no light or noise pollution, just peace and quiet, plus the fantastic backdrop of Chillingham Castle at the end of the garden. East Lodge is well equipped, the guidebook is detailed and helpful and Max was a great host. We loved the log burner and the house has everything else you could possibly need for a short stay. The...

"The small cottage is very well equipped, It has been very well thought out, every thing you need using the small tidy space. The outside area is so peaceful and will be at it's best in summer. The garden area very secure for a dog and the cottage is ideal for a single person and a four legged companion, quite a rare find. It rained very heavy one evening yet we heard nothing and felt very snug and warm. "
