"The property is almost 100 years old with lots of history. It has been recently renovated and done well. It is right on the lake with lots of outdoor sitting and a pier. The staff are all very friendly and you can tell they enjoy working there. The restaurant was nice with delicious food. The reason for not giving 5 stars all across is because the renovation was done to restore to the original so the rooms are small and the bed was not overly comfortable. "Had to search for the key to get in. No prior indication of where to find it. Was greeted by a dirty mop bucket with water, right inside the door. Found several various items tucked in couch..: dog toys, bottle of soda, electric hair trimmer. Bathroom was filthly, did have new towels. Painters tape still on wall in shower, odd signs hanging on doors. Driveway was covered in ice, no rocksalt. Property completely dated. Light bulb above stove exploded sending glass everywhere. No cleaning...
