"The pros: Our room was large and had good climate control (air conditioning is very important here!). There was a mini fridge and microwave as well as storage space. There was space to park our rental car, and food marts within walking distance. We could also walk to the Papeete waterfront and market fairly easily. "We usually stay at the Motel right above the airport. The beds are very hard there so tried here. Owner met us at airport. Great place very close to airport. Will stay tlat Manaevafrom now on. "

"The view is amazing.. the rooms are clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. They are not kidding about the drive up to their place. Wow! I did it late at night and thought for sure we were heading the wrong way."

"There is a steep hill up to the property and once your @ the parking spot, you must hike a bit more to get to the rental. Nice pool, very clean property! Owners reprimanded teenagers for playing ball in the pool, so I would have to assume that this property prefers adults over kids. Entrance to property is not well marked (but neither is any other property on Moorea!). "

"Authentic and friendly stay in a picturesque location. Sadly, Moorea suffered a massive power outage which made the stay difficult. That notwithstanding, our hosts rallied with extra water and a special effort to present breakfast in the morning!"

"What a great find! Beachfront property with a excellent view (although the beach was somewhat rocky)! "Poe" (property mgr) was a kind soul and was always there if we needed anything. King bed downstairs and singles in the upstairs loft. This property doesn't have A/C, so it does get somewhat warm during the day, but the Pacific breeze cools the space at night. Good value for the money!"

"When we located the property, it was a wonderful guest house. Note that guest houses have shared bathrooms and this one does not state that it has air conditioning. The proprietor was excellent and we loved being able to walk to the beach to snorkel!"

"Where do I begin do review this stay? In so many ways it was a stay of a lifetime. Mark’s Place is beautiful. Each bungalow is unique in design and amenities. Our bungalow had lots of windows and large glass patio door which led to a large deck with outside furniture. Our bungalow did not have toilet or shower contained within, but we did have private facilities directly across from our unit. "This property was grossly misrepresented. It was 25 minutes from airport and not even close to the beach. As we drove up pass sickly looking goats on a muddy road, we arrived at the property. It was a $30 taxi ride. Then when I was shown the room, I told the attendant it was unacceptable, she said , well you’re stuck with it, I’m not refunding you. The room was the size of the double bed. "Hilton was centralling located and walkable to some establishments. Very clean, great view , very friendly staff. We had a very nice room with ocean view facing Moorea. Landscape around the property is amazing. Will definitely stay again if we happen to be around the area. Highly recommended. "

"This was our second visit to the Manava. Great location, close to the airport, ferry and rental cars. Restaurants close by walking and several stores near by. The overwater bungalows are fantastic, especially if you get the ones facing out to the ocean."
