"The Sugarbeat B&B is a great home from home, staff, food and service is top notch! Our room ‘Manilow’ was ok but noisy in the morning from 0700 with extractor fans for kitchens, plus doesn’t go off until 1100. The room low roof made it very difficult to relax, plus only one chair to watch tv or have a coffee in room. Cleanliness could be a little bit better with some stains and marks on furniture. Overall an excellent place and have booked again for April."

"Very attractive gastro pub off the beaten track. Excellent food and range of drinks. I was fortunate the weather was glorious so an evening in the beer garden was appreciated. The room was a good size if only a little dated. The large sash window offered little in sound proofing but had the most glorious view across a field of sunflowers. "In our 2-night stay we had no contact with anyone else at the hotel, but could hear othwr guests a little from our room. Check-in was easy with guidance sent in advance, and the room was cleaned well during the day. The accomodation was clean and comfortable, although the common areas were unlit during the day so quite dark. A small amount of shampoo and shower gel was provided, and the room had a kettle. "This cottage is utterly beautiful. The rooms are well equipped and beautifully furnished. You won't need to take your slippers for the stay, the underfloor heating keeps your toes constsntly cosy. The huge bedroom has stunning views and decorated exquisitely."

"We stayed here for a mini break. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and especially the two ladies who served us. Great sense of humour and nothing too much trouble. Room was spotless and bed very comfortable. The location is great with the transport museum next door and Southwold, Snape and Aldeburgh a short drive away. We would definitely recommend to friends and family and also return if we visit Suffolk again. "

Little gem not far from coast and castle.

"2 night stay, arriving on a Sunday early evening, check in was great, lovely staff, advised us that there were free canapés for guests at 6.45, we had a wonderful meal in the restaurant, there was a choice of roast or other items off the menu. Our room was very comfortable and clean, breakfast in the morning had a good choice of cold buffet style items and also you could order hot food from the breakfast menu. There was a friendly bar area for the evenings and a nice outside seating area too. All in all a lovely stay. "
