"This is a very dated property, and the property's location down winding side roads was hard to find and not very close to Grass Valley/ Nevada City. The facility dates back to the 1960's, and it shows its age and some neglect. Little has been done to maintain or update it. "We were greeted by an individual whose first words to us were you didn't pay enough but that is ok because your TV does not work. Then I was told that my amount owed was $30 less than what I already paid. When we went up to the room it was old, dirty not well kept, nor was it safe. "We had a fantastic time during our stay. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. We were in a heat wave, so the pool was perfect. My dog had a great time exploring the property and sniffing everything in sight. It was quiet and very relaxing, especially watching all the golden eagles flying above. "Everyone loved this location. The property is fantastic for families and large groups. The water situation is a huge bummer. We used bottled water for everything, including brushing our teeth. The owners are communicative and friendly. The dishes, utensils and cookware are cleaned and maintained by people renting like us, and they were all filthy. Just be prepared to bring multiple jugs of water and I recommend disposable plates, utensils etc. Its a shame bc the place is basically otherwise...
