"A lovely hotel full of character. Our room was clean, had a new bathroom and overlooked the beautiful garden too which was a bonus. Breakfast was a perfect spread of cooked food and continental. Staff were all very friendly. Location is perfect, right in the town centre and an added bonus of free parking! Loved my stay."

Only downsides were 1) very low water pressure meaning that you had to ‘run around’ in the shower to get wet, and 2) little or no soundproofing between rooms - we could hear distinct conversations within adjoining rooms (even though the guests were certainly not excessively noisy)"

"We only stayed for a night and was perfect for our purpose. Kids slept well which was the main thing and room was clean. Only downfall is no lift and as a family room we had lots of stairs to get to our room which wasn't ideal. But would stay again. "
