"Excellent service and room. The staff were all kind and helpful and went out of their way to help in all ways. The food was great too. I liked the ambience in the room. the bath tub, the bathroom, the kitchen and the room was very comfortable, including the bed. I appreciated the black out curtains and I was able to rest and replenish. I enjoyed my stay immensely. I didn't really want to leave. I will return again another time soon. Thank you for the great experience. "

"Shangri-La has a name as the best hotel in Colombo among our friends and even with very high expectations they exceeded them! The rooms, room service, and staff were all excellent. We extended our stay by another week! Aslam was doing such a great job clearing and bringing us anything we needed. He was really sweet with our kids as well. Rusiru made my kids their favorite pancakes each morning and he was working really hard and constantly had fresh French toast, pancakes, and waffles out just in time for all the guests. He was very happy and kind! "

"We flew into Colombo and reserved a pickup through the hotel. Although we were almost an hour late our driver was there awaiting us. Vehicle was clean and comfortable and the drive into the city uneventful. Upon arrival at the hotel we were made to feel more than welcome, checking was quick and we were shown to our room. Although it was smaller than most we have stayed in it was very clean and not rundown in appearance. The staff was more than helpful in providing an explanation if the area and directions to various places in the vacinity. Checkout was equally easy and transport made available to the cruise port. Anyone planning a trip to Colombo I would definitely recommend staying here. "

"We stayed here for a night prior to leaving Sri Lanka from a 10-day trip. The hotel was very fancy, clean and modern and nicely decorated for Christmas. Across the Street from Dutch Hospital shopping and entertainment district. Service was great, and breakfast buffet was plentiful. "
