I was thankful but declined as I was confident that I could find it. I definitely would return to this hotel again if I ever came back to Tanzania, which I plan to do."

"Lovely property in a quiet corner of Stonetown. Great swimming pool. Historic quality of hotel added a charming feel. Most rooms overlook the ocean. The amenities were complete and the room was very comfortable. Spend a little extra to get an outside balcony or verandah. The staff was wonderful and helpful. There are lots of restaurants nearby. I can't speak for the food at the on property restaurant since I had to leave early and skipped the breakfast. I would definitely stay here again on a Stonetown visit. "

"Beyond a beautiful setting, the staff and service make Mvuvi very special. Everyone is kind and helpful — including the drivers they use. They use a WhatsApp group to inform you of opportunities and activities. And a direct WhatsApp to organize transfers and answer questions. The breakfasts are delicious. I also loved the salt water pool. I stayed on the beach lounge side of the property in room 16 (up stairs) my colleague stayed in the room below (12) that had convenient walk out. Both had sea view. "

"Lovely beach. Didnt like the massi tribe on beach. Felt intimidating. Loved silent cinema, reef walk, app to book everything, dinner on the beach, round pool. Loved sax on the beach but waised as no one thete to hear. Should be round the bar as people come diwn to dinner"

"This is a beautiful hotel in a great location, right in the middle of the very long Matemwe beach. We loved everything about the hotel. Our room - a junior suite with a beach view and balcony - was gorgeous and very large. There was a view of the ocean from every room, including the shower, and the room was very clean and comfortable in every way. The restaurant is also excellent as is the bar (better cocktails than most places in East Africa). Our favorite dish was the ceviche, but everything was great. The pools, lobby, lounging areas were all beautiful as well. Also appreciated the friendly and helpful staff, who arranged activities including a snorkeling and dolphin trip to Mmemba atoll. The hotel also offers excellent massages onsite and a free yoga class twice a week. We just loved everything about this hotel and would happily return here."

Everything from the lovely garden, to the farm where the grow all vegetables to the food, the beautiful setting and design of the hotel, ocean views, coctails, nice spa, free sups and cayaks and sailing, to the most friendly staffs and great service from the first minute you arrive until you check out. It is a truly gem! I rarely give a 5, but Tulia is one of a kind! "
