"The photos don’t do the small house justice. The owners are both lovely and go out their way to help you make your stay, the most enjoyable it can be. The views are fabulous and theres no mention of the long and short walks, that start 50m from the property, travelling through the Forrest and finishing at a pub/restaurant 1km from the accommodation."

"We had a wonderful stay in this lovely house in a beautiful rural setting. The configuration of the house was perfect for grandparents, parents and 6 month old; especially important to us were our own bathrooms and loos! Many houses I looked at booking only had one bathroom.. the area was lovely and we enjoyed exploring the canal, the local town including the impressive ruined castle in Moulins-Engilbert. "I was hoping for a few days of quiet in nature, and that is exactly what I got. I remembered what stars look like, fell asleep to the sound of a river, and read to my heart's content, warmed by a real fire. The hosts were incredibly thoughtful and responsive. The cottage isn't too far from wine chateaux (about an hour) and a couple of ancient dolmens, not to mention the beautiful Vézelay Abbey (about 40 minutes), if you want to venture out."
