"We had a lovely weeks stay with 8 adults and 4 kids (ages 7-16) The house is well equipped and owners were friendly and helpful. It did help that my husbands mum and step dad speak fluently french as we may have struggled a bit otherwise with instructions regarding the spa and other bits. The pool was great and the house had plenty of room for the 12 of us. I think if anymore were staying you would need to be prepared to stay on the sofas that change into beds in common areas. "The photos don’t do the small house justice. The owners are both lovely and go out their way to help you make your stay, the most enjoyable it can be. The views are fabulous and theres no mention of the long and short walks, that start 50m from the property, travelling through the Forrest and finishing at a pub/restaurant 1km from the accommodation."

"We enjoyed our holiday. The calm, the silence, the beautiful view and the cows as neighbors. On arrival we were warmly welcomed and everything was neat and clean. The cottage is decorated with taste and detail. The surroundings are beautiful, we made many beautiful trips. We only found it a bit cold in the evenings with only a wood stove (September). Furthermore, the house is highly recommended. A place to go back."

The configuration of the house was perfect for grandparents, parents and 6 month old; especially important to us were our own bathrooms and loos! Many houses I looked at booking only had one bathroom.. the area was lovely and we enjoyed exploring the canal, the local town including the impressive ruined castle in Moulins-Engilbert.
