"The property has been recently renovated and the bedroom was of a good size and the hotel is within walking distance to the main touristic attractions in Penang. The room in each we stayed was in the left side of the hotel, and at 6.15 am in the morning we would wake up with the prayers at the mosque. Breakfast is continental style - you can order omelettes, scrambled eggs or fried eggs cooked to order, there's tea, coffee and orange juice available, a hot station with Asian style noodles...

"Charming boutique hotel with lush greenery offering plenty of little cozy areas to relax. A little oasis in the middle of the historic town. Staff members on site, Nick, Janet, Kee and Shipun were wonderful. Breakfast was included but options were limited but the hotel is minutes away from awesome local delights. Be sure to sample the infamous Penang Char Kway Teow (flavourful fried flat noodles) and the delicious white coffee (and more)! Great location! "

"This is probably one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. Even better, it is in a perfect location to explore Georgetown, while still being quiet and peaceful. Moreover, the staff are getting excellent and accommodating. They helped us plan trips to the national park and gave invaluable advice. The hotel restaurant is also excellent. In particular we loved the roti canai at breakfast. I cannot recommend Muntri Mews enough, and I hope to return. "

"The location is good. Staff are helpful. The washroom is a huge problem. No shower curtain or door. So the floor becomes wet and very inconvenient. No housekeeping the whole 4 days stay. So continuously living in filthy conditions. Had to take out our own garbage. Also because no housekeeping and no phone in room, had to keep going to the reception to ask for simple things like toilet papers and fresh towels. No fridge, had to use fridge at the reception. "A beautiful restored shophouse. Very welcoming staff and very clean common areas. The rooms can get a bit warm in the afternoon as part of the roof is covered in zinc and conducts heat directly into the room. Bed is located in the attic which can be a slight inconvenience but it adds to the overall charm of the place. Toilets are small and poky but still good enough for me. For the price, I would still recommend this place for those seeking something out of the ordinary. "
