"The property has been recently renovated and the bedroom was of a good size and the hotel is within walking distance to the main touristic attractions in Penang. "The location is good. Staff are helpful. The washroom is a huge problem. No shower curtain or door. So the floor becomes wet and very inconvenient. No housekeeping the whole 4 days stay. So continuously living in filthy conditions. Had to take out our own garbage. Also because no housekeeping and no phone in room, had to keep going to the reception to ask for simple things like toilet papers and fresh towels. No fridge, had to use fridge at the reception. "A beautiful restored shophouse. Very welcoming staff and very clean common areas. The rooms can get a bit warm in the afternoon as part of the roof is covered in zinc and conducts heat directly into the room. Bed is located in the attic which can be a slight inconvenience but it adds to the overall charm of the place. Toilets are small and poky but still good enough for me. For the price, I would still recommend this place for those seeking something out of the ordinary. "
