"Wonderful hotel. The staff was very friendly, facilities extremely clean and well maintained. The restaurant was the best food we had the entire time in Mexico. Super close to the ruins which was very convenient!"

"This is a wonderful hotel with gorgeous grounds. The entrance is an enormous thatched open lobby with friendly staff that speak English. Our room was on the 2nd floor overlooking the pool. It was comfortable and the air conditioning was great. The shower had great water pressure and the restroom was spacious. We ate at the restaurant the first evening and loved the food. The included breakfast was delicious. It's served in the open air and there are lots of flying critters that want a taste. They had delicious Papaya jelly that really attracted flys, so we had to place a napkin over it. You can walk to the downtown square easily where you will find several little shops and food vendors. Parking at the hotel is great. It's a five minute drive to the Chichen Itza ruins, or you could walk there. The ruins are extensive, so you would get your steps in for sure. We look forward to returning here with our kids in the future. "

"Pretty sure I was the only guest at the property. It was quiet, great location to see local sites. If you are ok with bare bones in nature this is good for you. Negatives, limited cell coverage in the area, and no wifi, so hope you are ok with a digital detox. Hot water wasn't really a thing."

"Luis was an amazing host! He greeted us on arrival with fresh made lemonade and showed us where to park. Gave us plenty of tips for things to do and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable! While our trip was very short, we will be coming back to stay longer and explore more of the area! "

"Allan has built an incredible Mayan home on the edge of the jungle yet close to Valladolid. The place is not for those seeking a hotel-like experience but we enjoyed the place for its uniqueness, the many animals, and for his amazing stories and breakfast. He provided great local recommendations as well."
