"The sofa bed was so uncomfortable is was impossible to sleep for more than a few minutes at a time and as soon as I sat on it, the arm fell off, having been glued back on many times. On our last morning there was no hot water available so a day of travelling home with no shower. Reported to the venue but no response."

"Convenient hotel for La Daille lifts and funicular train. Supermarket and tabac opposite. Good for a family holiday. Not a luxury hotel by any means but clean and well equipped rooms with comfy beds and kitchenette. We had breakfasts and most dinners here no problem. Would recommend for a reasonably priced hotel for family ski. "

"Cogne is simply beautiful. Small enough to be charming, big enough to stay busy and entertained. The Chateau Royal was a great home base. Centrally located, comfortable and we'll equipped. We originally booked two nights but added two more as it was such a great village with so much to do. We hiked, fished, rafted and paraglided plus catching some of the abundant castles and forts in the Sister Valley). This one is a do-over (we'll be back:-)."

In the email of confirmation there was nothing said about the place not offering bed linen, towels or even TOILET PAPER..... indeed we arrived and had none of the above. "AVOID AT ALL COST. Still awaiting our deposit to be paid back, hotel just doesn’t reply to emails. it says sleeps 4 but honestly it is 3 at best. Blankets and pillows are terrible. "I had a very comfortable stay in this apartment located on the 13th floor which has a lovely view towards Solaise and the main part of Val d'Isere. The apartment had everything required to self cater including a 4-ring hob, microwave, dishwasher, small cooker, a very large fridge freezer and many other kitchen conveniences.
