The location was perfect for walking to food, shops, the pier, and most importantly, the Island Explorer bus stops. "Overall the cottage stay was fine. It was clean. The bathroom could definitely use a makeover - everything worked and there was plenty of hot water but it’s old. No extra towels were provided. The kitchen was newly renovated but it’s tiny. There’s a tiny refrigerator and no oven. And there are very few utensils, just the bare minimum. The location, although a bit away from Acadia, offered an escape from the busy-ness of Bar Harbor. The surroundings are serene with a lake just upfront. Overall a good experience. "This was one of the best maintained and cared for rentals we've been to. It is clearly taken care of well. The hosts communicated well and made sure we had everything we needed.
