5/5 Excellent
"My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 4 days, and I'm honestly surprised its not rated 3 stars or more! We absolutely love this hotel, especially when its super dog-friendly (we brought our pup along).
Receptionists were different every day, but all of them are so welcoming and happy to help. We had an early check-in for a small fee of $15. The room was small but it had the basic necessity. There's a restaurant within the same building as the hotel where you can dine in. There were plenty of parking spaces that are located just beside the hotel as well. The overall location is within walking distant to Nanaimo's local attractions. If you fancy going to Tofino/Ucluelet for a day trip, its 2.5 hours drive away from the hotel.
We never had any problems with any dogs barking throughout the day or night. We did have one incident where the neighboring unit had their tv volume up loud, but it was promptly resolved when I spoke to the rep on night duty.
The building is very clean and maintained on a daily basis - its just a bit dated. The hallway had a bit of a musty smell which I assumed was their policy to have all visitors with dogs must stay in a specific area. We didnt smell it after we got into our room
Overall, we had a pleasant stay and will definitely come back again!! "
