"Checked in after looking for another hotel after leaving the hotel I had originally booked. This hotel was warm and comforting, the check in was a total breeze. Friendly welcoming staff. Rooms were large and comfortable. Bar and other communal areas were clean and very cosy, loved the cosy nook with open fire effect fire. Would definitely stay here again if ever in the area."

"When I arrived at the hotel, sadly the car park that I'd checked on google maps was shuttered with a notice attached to use the rear. This was quite hard to find, as you have to turn down a steep left turn, then along a ropey looking high street, then take the second right, first left and then it on the right. There was no St Geroge Hotel named car park, it was the 'co-working' place next door - very confusing. Then you have to walk up some dodgy steps. Once inside the hotel was great. I only...

"The hotel was in a great spot for the 1940’s weekend. They were understaffed at breakfast and the food wasn’t nice For the price you have to pay. The room was fine but we were charged for an early check in and the room wasn’t ready. Luckily they refunded this cost but the communication seemed a bit slack. "

"We really enjoyed our stay here. Host was excellent: knowledgeable and welcoming. Location was good, secluded enough but easy to get to all areas of the island.
