"Good location, friendly family style staff, clean, quiet. Nice bar and restaurant. Not very much water in the shower. But except that the room was good for the price."

"Pay for premium hotel prices, however you dont get premium hotel price service. Bring your own laundry, cleaning supplies and linens. Its like staying in a very expensive hostel. Staff are friendly, but the price isn't worth the room. And you hope the people that stayed before you clean it to an industry standard. Room lacked comfortable seating, something you should expect when staying for a week(?)."

"Nice quant hotel within an easy walk to walled medieval city that offers many dining options as does the area outside of the walled city. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. It's clean and well maintained with a nice indoor and outside eating area. Rooms were on the smaller side which is typical for older properties in Europe. Definitely would stay here again."

"Good location very close to the pistes. Could do with a bit of a refresh, but for the price can't complain. Staff somewhat brusque at times, but nothing too much to put you off. Nice and quiet at night and comfy beds. Slept well. "

"Le Clos Cerdan is a great place to stay because everything is right there. The rooms are very freshly redone and spacious with artful lighting. They have a bar and restaurant so no need to drive anywhere, and the view is spectacular. We had a rainy few days so the steam room and sauna were a treat when it was too cold to walk outside. There's also plenty of parking. Next time we'll bring our tennis rackets!"

"Our extended family group (2 families + grandparent+visiting friends) had a fabulous stay at Martin's holiday home. The children in our group loved the pool and spent hours in it, while the adults especially enjoyed breakfasts and dinners in the beautiful garden, all accompanied by the sound of fresh running water from the mountains. The many bedrooms are lovely and comfortable, the kitchen is large and a joy to cook in, and, again, the garden is idyllic. Martin himself is a fantastic host, kind and thoughtful, and he went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. (He even pleasantly tolerated the children advising him to install a water park in the yard, an arcade in the house, etc. The adults did not agree with this advice.) The area has many attractions, including hikes, markets, beautiful nearby towns, vineyards, waterfalls, and more. A day trip to Collioures to swim in the Mediterranean was easy and fun, too. We did so many things in our two weeks, and Martin's historic hotel was the perfect home for us while we did them. We all highly recommend staying here and would ourselves love to do so again. "We wanted a chilled, relaxed and lazy holiday in a beautiful environment at a spacious and comfortable villa, we got this and more. Jean Pierre and Basanti were the most welcoming and attentive of hosts. The location is superb, with views to the Pyrenees on a clear day and a large garden that encourages a wide range of amazing butterflies. The pool is well tended and has spacious new decking and furniture for relaxing. The villa is very comfortable, with all the amenities needed and stays cool when the weather is hot. Limoux is a short distance away by car, with a huge Leclerc for supplies and lots of affordable restaurants. We have been to France on holiday many times and this was the best, it ticked all the boxes and we will be returning. Thank you Jean Pierre and Basanti!"
