"We had an excellent stay at Porto Vecchio. The hotel itself is situated right in the old town about 2 streets back from the sea, in a pretty little corner on a lovely back street. As the old town is pedestrianised, we were dropped at the top of the main street by our taxi from the airport, 25 mins away, and had a short 5 min walk to the property. The reception is not manned at all times but someone was always at the end of the phone should you need any help and I believe, not far away either....

"Maria was the absolute best. She made us feel warm & welcome and was very attentive to our needs. The location couldn’t have been better. You can walk to everything, including Historical sights, restaurants, as well as shops of every kind. Two blocks away is a sight seeing bus pick up, which we hopped on. That was nice. If I had one complaint, it would be that does get a bit noisy at night on the weekend, but that was a small price to pay for a location that gets you everything. "

"I ended up staying at Casa Modiano for over a week and was able to stay in several rooms. Room 5 with a couch was my favorite because it was a bit more spacious but all three rooms I had were lovely. Great decor, incredible location, delicious breakfast. Loved sitting on the balcony sipping wine, feeling the breeze off the ocean and writing. Near everything but one street removed from the waterfront noise. Much more charming. "
