"Beautiful property. As someone else mentioned it isn’t 5 star luxury, but the views and the proximity to the beach is perfection. It is a little run down, but that didn’t bother us. We didn’t spend much time inside. We enjoyed our coffee on the porch starting at stunning views."

"Fantastic place, bringing our sun ninja was the right call as the wind wouldve taken away on umbrella. Do wish there were folding chairs we could take to other beaches. Cant beat the view"

"Check in was easy but listing stated that there was AC and I didn’t know that it was located only in the bedroom. It was ok in the rest of the dwelling only when the bedroom door was open. Host responded but was slow with his responses I was greeted with many bugs and it was a very uncomfortable experience. I don’t have bugs where I reside and I don’t want to deal with bugs while on vacation when I paid $1k plus. I let the host know about the bugs early on after checking in and he stated...

"LaToya was absolutely the worst host I've ever encountered. I have rented many homes, all over the Caribbean & the world & I have never had the problem I had here. Upon check-in we noticed how unusually warm the home was. I immediately reached out to LaToya to whom became defensive, argumentative and unwilling to properly resolve the issue. I say properly resolve because technicians attempted to "charge the AC unit". But it became obvious that the home needed a completely brand new unit however...

"When we arrived to the property, the refrigerator wasn’t working, the internet password that was listed in the guest booklet was incorrect, there were no tv, no iron. The property itself was nice and we felt safe. We were extols that there was a $100 fee for cleaning, but it wasn’t listed no where when we booked the room.. the property manager was very friendly and helpful. As mentioned, the cottage that we stayed was really nice except for the things mentioned. "

"The house was well equipped and comfortable with plenty of gathering space for our family. The deck, pool area and dock were all nice spaces with spectactular views. We enjoyed watching the sunrise and sipping coffee overlooking the sound. We had a maintenance issue with the pool, but property manager and maintence man addressed it immediately. We truly enjoyed our stay and are thankful to have made wonderful memories on Chalk Sound."

"Our host was very responsive to all our questions. She shared the contact info for her property manager, who also was very responsive and helpful. Even helping to get some groceries before our arrival. The pictures of the home are accurate. Bathrooms are spacious. Rooms all equipped with extra bedding and pillows . "The food was excellent and many dining experiences were available with the option of going to their sister resort also. They provided a shuttle to the sister resort also. The beach area in front of the resort is very large and easy to go for long walks on the beach. An easy mile walk to the shopping district and walk to the local Thursday night Fish Fry. "

"The in room coffee was terrible! (lol) We used the shuttle daily, it it would be good to have a shuttle that traveled further west and to the grocery store. The staff was lovely and helpful! We felt very safe! Our room was clean and well maintained. The lobby needs updating. The landscaping needed attention. Overall, those were small details that would improve a nice place. The location isn’t great for active young people, but it is great for families and those not interested in night life and partying! "

"We had a wonderful stay. Rochelle checked us in and was wonderful. Kind polite and patience as we checked in from our long flight. Gracelyin at the bar was exceptional.All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious yet intimate. Lots of fun stuff to do for families and couples. 10/10 recommend."
