"Great property exactly as described, and the setting and views were just the best! The local town 20 mins drive on the river is Amarante and it stole our hearts. The drive straight down the mountain to a slightly closer town Celorico de Basto is not for the faint hearted, and was not repeated. The TV was in French which was a bonus as we don't speak Portugese. "We had a lovely stay ant the location is as expected in a great little part of the national park. The place is as in the pictures and whilst we didnt use the pool it looks fab and the hot tub was ideal. The local restaurant was very welcoming and the nearby old bridge could hsve been a scene out of Brigadoon..... fantastic. There are the useual few quirkes with staying in older remote towns but it shouldn't put you off as presumably if you are looking at staying here you will appreciate that...
