"the building was built in the 1930s yes its old . what a beautiful house. great porch great kitchen with shiplap walls and ceiling. very functional everything was there frig microwave toaster oven , nice bedrooms shower worked great . great yard firepit with chairs car parking on site .fantastic view of the lake. easy access to town and restaurants in walking distance . we were there to fish. great access to the lake. overall we liked it very much. hope to stay again next year."

"Our mom and daughter’s trip was everything we hoped it would be! We loved hanging out in the hot tub and enjoyed sitting around the bon fire listening to the river. The home was cozy and had all the amenities needed to enjoy our stay. John was friendly and even brought us some dry wood. Our furry baby had a blast zipping around the fenced in yard. We would love to return! It was a wonderful trip! "

"We stayed with our four kids and brought the boat. The kids fished off the dock where we parked the boat during our stay. In walking distance of a grocery store, Fiddleheads breakfast/lunch spot, the Boathouse Winery, the Capital Dog (great ice cream), a True Value and even a gas station.Plenty of seating on the deck and the four queen beds (two were pull out couches) worked for our family. "We had a great week exploring the Spring sites in and around the Sleeping Bear area. The house was very clean, quiet and cozy; perfect for our stay. Much nicer bath and kitchen than similar places we’ve stayed in the area. "

"Beautiful home situated perfectly and uniquely on the bay- stunning views and private wooded setting. We loved watching the swans swim by every day! House was well-stocked and immaculate; perfect blend of that cottage feel combined with luxury. Excellent communication with host. So many hiking trails, nature and beaches to experience in OMP, also a very nice grocery store & restaurant just up the road. Was a wonderful, quiet winter getaway for us!
