The morning of our scheduled arrival, I had to contact Vbro to file a complaint.The property was very old and grimy. The internet did not work at all - and we had people who were working remotely so had to leave to town to connect with internet. The power went out 2 days in a row and we had to wait 6 hours before an electrician came over and the second time, waited overnight for power. When...

"We stayed in Villa Poggio in last week of September 2024. We enjoyed it very much. For us it was perfectly situated, we could enjoy very good bicycle roads close to the villa. One rainy afternoon we drove to Florence which is only 30 minutes away with a car. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. All in all - good value for the price paid. "The building is an 800+ year-old former monastery transformed into a spectacular villa. All the bedrooms are air-conditioned effectively. The pool is in excellent shape and is maintained daily. The owner lives next-door and was helpful whenever needed. For example, when we noted the absence of an outdoor grill, a brand new one was provided the next day. The concierge, Miguel, was superb. "Overall we loved our stay. The villa had great spaces to spend time with others, both indoors and outdoors, and large bedrooms to spend time alone as needed. The kitchen was great, even though we ate out quite a bit and didn't do much cooking. There were a few plumbing issues that needed to be addressed while we were there, but they were quickly taken care of. "The property is astounding. Gorgeous, large garden with a lovely pool. The house is just beautiful and perfect with 5 bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms. It worked really, really well for our family. Nearby on-site houseman was super helpful and made things very easy for us. It was a 15-minute walk to bus stop to Florence city center. We just loved it."

"Villa Il Forte is the most incredible setting. It is an incredible historic and luxurious home while being comfortable, spacious and accommodating. Many different spaces to relax, connect and play. Paolo’s team were absolutely amazing. The chef Thomas is so talented while also being wonderfully personable and fun. The driver Fabrizio was so generous and thoughtful. His guides were knowledgeable and friendly. I have already booked it for next year! I can’t wait to go back! "
