Staff speaks English which is be big reprieve from translator on cell phones. Breakfast is awesome and everything is organic, I haven’t eaten eggs with yellow orange yolks since I was a child! "The photos of the double room are misleading. It appeared to have plenty of space with a nice view of the busy city sidewalks. Instead, our room was woefully small and was damp with a smell of mildew. Our view was an alleyway rather than overlooking the business of the people around town.The staff was friendly but not very helpful overall. We plan to visit this amazing town again but will skip staying here next time. "

"The Pousada Brasil is a 6-7 minute walk to the main town square, and the owner/manager is very friendly and helpful. As with many pousadas, the hotel is a very traditional building with a little balcony, nice windows with shutters. The room was very spacious, with a walk-in closet, and views towards the street outside and historic centre, which I liked. "

"Pousada do arcanjo is a gem! This beautiful colonial hotel is conveniently located near the historic section of Ouro Preto. The staff wear period costumes which is such a fun touch. They are super friendly and helpful. The cuisine in Minas Gerais is said to be the best in Brazil and the hotel’s full Brazilian breakfast (café colonial) is a shining example. There’s a lovely afternoon tea as well! My room was very comfortable. I can’t wait to visit again! "

"I have just had 3 nights here. So nice. Lovely staff and a special thanks to the lovely Emily and Arthur on the front desk for looking after me so well. Muito obrigado "

"Looks nice property , but very noise at night time . We stay #29. Extremely small . Basic breakfast , the best was the cheese Bread . The towels is very old . White ? No . They are almost grey and very bad quality . The employees are wonderful . Our sink was constantly dripping water and floor was wet the most the time . Very nice way to save some water . They have a bucket inside the shower and we can leave the first water from the shower in and they use to clean inside de room . We didn’t ask to clean or change the room , because was too small and we have many staff . The little fridge make noise like bugs inside the room all night . They have pool , but we didn’t use it . Old fashioned elevator , but works for tha place . Nice decorated . "
