"Perfect place for a taste of Minas Gerais. I write this in English because Brasilians already know of the splendor of this establishment. You will not find a more comfortable, rustic, beautiful hotel in this region. The breakfast with most of the food cooked on the wood stove makes things even more special. "

"Very stylish accommodation close to everything, very convenient and safe parking. You’re transported back in history with modern conveniences and beautiful view of the town. Staff speaks English which is be big reprieve from translator on cell phones. Breakfast is awesome and everything is organic, I haven’t eaten eggs with yellow orange yolks since I was a child! Thank you for the great stay "

"The photos of the double room are misleading. It appeared to have plenty of space with a nice view of the busy city sidewalks. Instead, our room was woefully small and was damp with a smell of mildew. Our view was an alleyway rather than overlooking the business of the people around town.The staff was friendly but not very helpful overall. We plan to visit this amazing town again but will skip staying here next time. "

"The Pousada Brasil is a 6-7 minute walk to the main town square, and the owner/manager is very friendly and helpful. As with many pousadas, the hotel is a very traditional building with a little balcony, nice windows with shutters. The room was very spacious, with a walk-in closet, and views towards the street outside and historic centre, which I liked. "

"Pousada do arcanjo is a gem! This beautiful colonial hotel is conveniently located near the historic section of Ouro Preto. The staff wear period costumes which is such a fun touch. They are super friendly and helpful. The cuisine in Minas Gerais is said to be the best in Brazil and the hotel’s full Brazilian breakfast (café colonial) is a shining example. There’s a lovely afternoon tea as well! My room was very comfortable. I can’t wait to visit again! "
