"Extra hidden costs needs to be payed on arrival, no way of avoiding these since they are not optional services. No hot water and when asked about it, the response was to try another bathroom. You get one sheet which works as both the bed sheet and the cover which had holes in it. No keys to the doors to the rooms, all doors was unlocked all the time. Bathroom door couldn't be locked. There is a fan in the room but the condition of that was well past its expiration date, it made a terrible noise."

The house was very clean, the instructions for getting in were very thorough (which was extremely helpful as it could have been easy to confuse but they did a great job with pictures and descriptions !). "Madama was my first hostel experience and it was great! Beds were comfortable and the location was great, about a 5 minute walk to the metro which can get you anywhere in Milan quickly. Area is safe and always people around, but quiet. Madama’s bistrot is very lively, so if you prefer a more quiet hostel this is not for you. "This place has the most incredible views. Everyone is so friendly and it was like going home each day. The only reason i didnt give top stars was the sleeping arrangement. We booked for 5 people and got 4 beds. Luckily our son was able to sleep with us in the big bed. "
