We travelled around Puglia and Basilicata and this was the place where English was least spoken and so our bit of Italian learned before travelling came in very handy. "Being Italian I was shocked to see the quality of the dishes being offered in the restaurants. Clearly very cheap options and same dishes would be reproposed every other day. Buffet were not replanished all the time."
