The house, gardens and views of the Fayence valley are stunning and the location is perfect for exploring the nearby hilltop villages and their provencal markets, as well as for getting to other highlights in the region such as Grasse and Cannes. "We found La Bastide to outshine any expectations. In summary: authentic historic property (as rustic as you could get!); spacious living quarters and massive, accommodating outside spaces; a sense of entire privacy within the grounds; stunning views (in particular while lazing about the wonderful pool); remote enough, nestled in the hills above the charming village - a 20 min walk to amenities. The owner/staff were particularly helpful & reassuring (by text or in person, however needed)...

"Two families on holiday together and this country home was magical for us. Cooking in the well stocked kitchens, swimming in the warm pool, relaxing on the outside couches, drinking wine… heaven on Earth. The home was so lovely that we rarely left- content to relax in the beauty of the old architecture and gardens. Scott and Denise offered great communication from the start; we thank you for a lovely stay."

"Le Mas in Aups is a fabulous house for several families. Spacious (11 persons) and cool with a splendid view over the landscape. Sitting outside is very relaxing, we enjoyed the silence. For the children there is a huge swimming pool and material for several sport activities. Fantastic."

"We are tennis fanatics so it was lovely to have a private court in good condition in the grounds. Played every day. Nice pool to cool off. Villa was spotless and spacious and all the appliances worked. Be aware that towels are not provided. Dealing with Vrbo was not easy. We needed to talk to them about a French legal requirement for liability insurance and the only contact number I could find was a USA premium rate line. Cost me £35 for a 7 minute conversation and they failed to call me back...
