"I had a very enjoyable stay. Warm welcome, big room full of character and big windows looking out onto the gardens. I had the family room with table and chairs by windows which are great for a relaxing cup of tea. The bathroom was compact but clean and with good shower. The sceptic tank can be noisy at night but I'm a good sleeper so it didn't bother me too much. The choice of breakfast served in the morning set me up for the day. "Great place to stay after a long drive - easy access to A74(M) but far enough away to avoid the road noise. Spotless en-suite room with tea coffee & Tunnocks teacake, yum. Wake-up to a relaxing view of green pastures and dairy herd. Welcoming host and superb Scottish breakfast. Highly recommended."

"If there's a b & b anywhere where the hosts are more attentlve, i've yet to visit it. A real gem of a place, spotlessly clean, great breakfast and a 5 minute walk to the town centre make this a great place to come. We have been twice now and there is sure to be a third when we revisit Dumfries."

"Very welcoming to a very comfortable room. We took dinner at one of the local pubs - but be early as they do stop serving food. Ample parking - although I think it was very quiet. It was an icy night - and unfortunately, the heating failed, so it was chilly in the room. Nice and clean - bathroom too."
