" We booked the Pines for 3 nights and we were both pleasantly surprised, it's a gem. The lodges are set around a tranquil lake and are easily accessible from the M6. The lodge was very clean and very well equipped, comfortable beds, quality bedding and towels and central heating. The staff were really friendly and informative. The bar area is relaxing and inviting, I cannot really comment on the quality of the food at the restaurant as the lodges are geared for self catering with extensive equipment, such as, a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, toaster, everything you need is provided...so we didn't eat in the restaurant but did notice the menu prices seemed expensive. Obviously been so close to major roads we expected some noise from traffic, but it was minimal and the lodges are double glazed. We really enjoyed our stay😊 I'd definitely recommend giving the Pines a visit."

"Absolutely wonderful hotel. Full of Victorian charm. It has been renovated to a high standard but its kept all its victorian features. Staff are brilliant and made our stay very enjoyable and memorable. Highly recommended "

"Kirby lonsdale is a lovely quaint little village to visit, it has good walks, nice pubs/restaurants, hotels, cottages to stay in , shops with local produce, gift shops and l9cal to The Lakes and Yorkshire. "

"This was a treat! Canopy bed, stone stairway with tapestries, exquisite furniture. I felt like I had entered a Jane Austen novel. Wish I could have spent a week here."

"The property was fantastic. We really enjoyed the little touches like a bed for our dog and poo bags and bowls left for him and the kitchen was well equipped and towels included. My only two slight criticisms were that the babies cot that we asked for wasn’t very secure at the bottom (it felt like it had a piece missing so it’s sun at one side) and it was very difficult to find somewhere to check in. Granted, we arrived in the evening, but after some wondering about we found it. We had a really nice time though, and would definitely go again! "
