Well appointed--comfortable mattress, beautiful bedding, great bathroom--comfortable couch and small table for eating. Excellent value. More than 1 venue for food--different styles. We only sampled breakfast--the granola parfait was perfect. "

"This is our second stay here as we loved it so much the first time. Warm welcome, beautiful grounds, gorgeous rooms in a traditional country mansion. There is a walk along the salmon river to the fishing hut before you return to the sitting room with a real fire and a G&T at the honesty bar. We loved exploring the wildness of the walled garden with bee hives (you can buy the honey back in the house) and free range chickens and raspberry bushes laden with big, fat fruit! "Really welcoming reception and friendly staff. The room was clean with good facilities and a really comfy bed! Evening meal in the bar was excellent. Full English breakfast cooked to order was also great. Highly recommend staying here."
