"We have stayed at Steve’s and Nancy’s for two weeks and experienced their hospitality, friendliness and such a warmth. Loved the place : super comfortable, very private yet close enough to know the host is there when you need them. Steve and his helper rescued us from a very daring car trouble for which we were so grateful. We enjoyed the tranquility and spectacular views, jacuzzi on the huge terrace was awesome. We will go back next year."

"The house is perfect for a family, everyone has their own bedroom and bathroom. It was amazing to get up in the morning, have a coffee and sit outside. The view is vast and you can see far and wide. My one wish was ro see a toucan which we did a few days before we left. It was in a tree in the back yard and waited for us to get the perfect picture before he flew away. We also saw geckos which make some really weird noises but they kept all the bugs out of the house. The property is quite far...

"We had a wonderful time at Villa Tamarindo, and I wish we could have stayed longer. Elias was very helpful, and the property is stunningly beautiful. We even got used to the cicadas! The kitchen is very well appointed and all the rooms are quite comfortable. It was a good location for birding as well; I added several species to my life list, including a keel-billed toucan and a turquoise-browed motmot. "Our stay was paid and confirmed 60 days prior to our arrival. We arrived 30 mins early only to be told we could not stay as a previous tenant had a pet that caused damage. No advance notice. Took 9 days to get a refund. Avoid this rental."

"Beautiful house and area, smooth check in, clean accommodations, fast and helpful communication from host and property manager. Being close to the airport was a great bonus. We had a great time and would return!"

"Super host! Very communicative from start to finish. The accommodations were superb. The kids loved the pool area. We were all entertained with the outdoor living space. Everything easy and accessible in the kitchen, to allow for a lot of “at home” meal preparation. The bedrooms very comfortable, and wheelchair accessible (for my father). A gorgeous backyard garden with a strolling path for everyone, including my father. We will all be back!!"

"Very clean loft, awesome views from the balcony/hot tub, very responsive host. Has everything you need with a convenient store and local restaurant just a couple minutes walk down the street, Poas Volcano/park nearby and the town of Poas 10 minute drive away (huge restaurant selection, gas stations, supermarket etc.). Can get windy as it's up on a hill so bring ear plugs or white noise app if you're a light sleeper "

Perfect stop after a long journey

"Just stayed one night after a long journey, and all was great, easy free airport shuttle (did have to ask for instructions before hand though felt they should have emailed out how to find it although once you got there it was fairly clear) good selection of snacks as we entered for tired kids. Room service was prompt and tasty, didn’t use the pool but it looked clean and well looked after. If u were also renting a car it looked super easy to sort (we weren’t) Breakfast was ok lovely touch with the valentines display though. All in all was perfect for what we needed "
