We chose this home because of it's charm, we loved how they kept the updates to the original look. It reminded us of my husbands grandmothers home. The kids loved having their own beds and there was plenty of space for our dog's kennel. "

"Rental was very clean and well stocked with whatever you'd need for your trip. Location was close to everything and it had lots of games and things to do as well. Only issue would be that the listing stated 2 queen beds but the beds were definitely full sized beds."

"We brought some of our family down for a fall break vaca… GREAT property! So cute and homey, fun upstairs for the grandkids area, 2 separate gathering rooms so adults could talk and laugh together apart from the kids playing. It was also good to have laundry facilities:) Very fun!"

"The house was a great place for us to rest between hikes and activities. The host responded quickly to questions. The house could use a good deep cleaning as there were food splatters/dirty spots on cabinets and walls. The kitchen counters and bathroom features were clean, and beds were decent after a long day. Overall it was a nice little place to stay and enjoy family time. "

"We had a great stay, the shack on shortcut is a very cute and cozy place. This is on the owners property and a working farm. Neither bothered us but just a heads up. I also did not realize from the photos that the living area and recreation area are separate rooms which was nice. The bathroom is in the rec room with a step up into it. We were able to enjoy quiet evenings playing games and watching movies. We also spent time in the rec room and at the fire pit. If we are in the area again we...

"We actually stayed in a different vrbo by this owner because the original house need unforeseen repairs just weeks before our arrival. The owner was great to accommodate. The house we stayed at is old (typical in the area) but it was clean and didn't smell old at all. Typically in old houses it can be dusty and the linens have an odd smell but not this house. We could tell the owner took care of the place."
