I VERY creaky floors, no one above us but i felt terrible for the people under us everytime i walked, even on tippy toes it was uncontrollable…. "

"This is the upper part of the house, Bettina and her family is super nice and friendly, the accommodation is clean and spacious, have a good vibe. Location: nature is just amazing there, one can make a good hike. The center of Sao Vicente is quite far 60 minutes by walk and the road is quite steep. The closest shop is approximately 30 minutes walk. We needed to work there and had issues with the internet connection (it was poor or non-existent), but the family was really friendly and helpful."

"We very much enjoyed one week at Ornela's house. Ornela is wonderful host. Her house is very comfortable. It offers all we needed. The bright living and bed rooms are connected by a balcony that gives this wonderful unobstructed view over Funchal and the harbor.The location on the hillside outside Funchal turned out to be an excellent starting point for our activities. Funchal, Sao Lorenco, Pico Areeiro or the towns in the north are easy to reach by car. Even a trip to the west is convenient...

"This was our third time staying at this property. Joe's brother Nelson and his wife Ana greeted us when we arrived and were excited to show us all the upgrades Joe has done. New furniture in the living room, a new cabinet beside the table in the kitchen, new dishes and pots and pans and both bathrooms totally renovated. We love the location on the water and everything you need just a stroll away. We are hoping to return next year."
