"It's fine. If you're looking for a no frills, simple place to stay, this is it. Although it has a big pool, gym and other amenities, it's DEFINITELY not what I would consider a 4 star hotel. I would rate more as a 2 or 3 star max. But it was still "nice". Staff were friendly. Bad side was the room. It was small, outdated with a very strange design to it. It needs a refresh overall. "

"We really enjoyed our stay. The property is old and could use some updating, but it was clean and well cared for. The staff was accommodating - they even brought us complimentary champagne after noticing during check in that it was my husbands birthday. The onsite parking is free and convenient if you have a car. The surrounding area is quiet, and only a short walk to downtown Albufeira. The extra money for the beach front room was well worth it. "The staff there are really lovely, kind and very friendly and helpful. I’m sure if my husband and I were in our 20s and 30s we could have made it through, but the bed was so hard we went through 3 rather sleepless nights so we left two days early. "Not that we spent much time at the hotel as we was out most of the days. The hotel was clean and the views from the hotel room was amazing. The old town was about a 20 minuet was down some very steep hills. Cab back was only about 5 euro. There's no bar at the complex but plenty of nice bars and restaurants in the old town. Would recommend this hotel to anyone but it is very chilled out. The lady who showed us to our room (I'm guessing is the owner) is also very nice, which always helps you...
