"We stayed here for several days on a ski trip to Whiteface. The kids decided this was the best rental property they had ever stayed in! The house is comfortable, beautifully maintained and well appointed, with stunning views of Whiteface Mountain from the porch and front yard. Host was very communicative and responsive. "We had a great stay in early March. Access to Lake Placid is quick and easy, but most essentials (food, fuel, etc) are right nearby. The cottage had everything we needed in terms of space and accessories. Rustic overall, but the bathroom is fresh and modern. The gas fireplace keeps the living room warm and inviting. "Looked for somewhere close to SUNY Plattsburgh to come in to visit our student at college, mainly to bring her dogs to see her, took a chance on the Blueberry Cottage and wasn’t disappointed. The location on the lake was beautiful. Was a little chilly when we went so we couldn’t really enjoy the beach or firepit, but I bet in the summer it would be amazing. "

"First of all. We didn’t know the water wasnt potable so we had to grab our own. When we pulled up it’s a barn attached to a house and you have to walk up two flights of stairs to get to the “apartment” it’s a barn so lots of black flies upstairs so we didn’t use the beds. Spiders all over the place. Beach was beautiful and overall the place was very peaceful but the shower we didn’t use because we didn’t trust the water. Not a place I would take a child under 7.
