"Great place. Wonderfully decorated with robin’s egg blue trim, sturdy and functional furnishings. Just beautiful, the way the light streams in from the shuttered windows. Tranquil (albeit with country sounds like roosters). Peaceful. It is easy to walk into town, either along a hiking trail or along the highway, which has a sidewalk after a while. "La casa en general está muy descuidada. La cocina estaba sucia y solamente pudimos usar el microondas y la cafetera. El resto de electrodomésticos muy sucios y en muy mal estado. "Lovely spacious villa with plenty of room for 10-12 people, and lots of dining and sitting space inside, and outdoor space. It was very warm during our stay, and as the villa doesn't have air conditioning it did get warm inside. Some more fans would be useful, as opening windows does increase outside noise. "My goodness, what an amazing property! Although distant from most major hotspots, it is smack in the middle of nature, and far away from the traffic and noise of civilization. This unique property includes an old large wine making room with equipment, the entry to the breakfast and dinner rooms. Charming and outstanding."

"Great location and accommodation however need more drawers and cupboards for clothes in main house - we had to live out of suitcases. Beds very comfortable but not enough easy chairs in main room."

"Great property exactly as described, and the setting and views were just the best! The local town 20 mins drive on the river is Amarante and it stole our hearts. The drive straight down the mountain to a slightly closer town Celorico de Basto is not for the faint hearted, and was not repeated. The TV was in French which was a bonus as we don't speak Portugese. The host was very accommodating of our very late arrival at 11pm due to flight issues and responded to all messages immediately.A great...

"The house exceeded all expectations, especially the outside space, pool and gardens. The views are superb and we enjoyed the variety of places we could sit to view the surrounding countryside and sky. Very well equipped kitchen and BBQ which was above average for a holiday let. Our host was extremely helpful and her recommendations for local food and activities was fantastic. Did not want to leave after a week. "
