Felt very safe leaving the hotel and walking down the beach for drinks. Ate at the restaurant on property, food was delicious and wait staff were professional. "The lodge was very rustic and sort of charming. However, it could use some serious TLC. The room we stay in was in serious need of repair and furniture. The pool and jacuzzi were not in working order. The food cooked for us by their cook was fabulous! The bar and bartender staff were very nice! The breakfast was good as well. The best part was the “wild” beach and dinner by it! My friend and I had a great time! A night or two there would be recommended."

"Excellent place to stay in Cabarete. We appreciated the quietness while being surrounded by plenty of tropical plants and flowers. Does not have all the bells and whistles but I can honestly say, my wife and I did not need it. Accommodations were more than adequate. No dining available but you can walk to plenty of restaurants and bars on the beach. El Magnifico was a hidden gem because after a day on the beach/town, you felt like you was coming back to your private haven. "
